LHH is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Accountant for a well-established and growing commercial real estate investment and management firm. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company that manages a diverse portfolio of properties and offers a collaborative, team-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in property accounting, a strong grasp of GAAP, and a working knowledge of commercial property management accounting systems such as MRI. This role offers high visibility, regular interaction with property management teams, and a chance to take ownership of multiple complex properties. Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports for assigned properties Ensure accurate posting of accrual and cash journal entries, tenant billings, and rent rolls Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure all supporting schedules align with financial reports Review and approve large AP disbursement items; coordinate weekly check‑run processing Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all assigned accounts Analyze variances in financial statements and communicate findings with property management Collaborate with property managers on the preparation of annual budgets and operating expense reconciliations Monitor property cash balances and support cash flow forecasting Prepare rent‑up schedules and process approved rent adjustments Calculate and initiate monthly owner distributions in accordance with property agreements Prepare and process sales tax filings as required Assist with year‑end CAM and real‑estate tax reconciliations Maintain documentation in accordance with internal controls and systems (e.g., OneSpace) Provide audit support and respond to external or internal auditor requests Communicate with internal stakeholders, property owners, and external vendors professionally and efficiently Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 4+ years of recent experience in property management accounting, preferably in a fee‑managed environment Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with MRI accounting software strongly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Effective communication skills and a professional, service-oriented demeanor High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments If you are interested in this opportunity, or any other career opportunities from LHH Recruitment Solutions please send your resume to: Arnand.Gayapershad@LHH.com
