About The Role We are currently seeking a
CFP Consumer Loan Underwriter
to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Underwrites and decides consumer loans up to the amount assigned per credit union policies.
Reviews and analyzes tax returns, pay stubs, interest rate calculations, and borrower’s credit character, ability, and willingness to repay.
Verifies home ownership, home value, and contractor license if applicable.
Verifies that all required documentation has been received; follows up and requests missing information; analyzes the information gathered based on credit union policy; reconciles income, appraisal value, credit history, and determines the terms and conditions of the loan.
Performs processing functions to include calculating debt‑to‑income ratios, loan‑to‑value ratios, document preparation, loan disbursement, and reconciliation.
Performs other support and/or administrative duties as assigned by the CFP Program Manager, VP of Consumer Lending, or SVP of Lending.
