Documentation and Funding Specialist - This position performs a variety of duties both clerical and technical. Major responsibilities include coordinating the processing of loans; from issuing out loan documents to the funding of various vendors. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
Produce customer documents based on various points of information including system programs, grids and other documents utilizing the company’s processing system.
Analyze customer signed loan documentation to ensure satisfaction of company underwriting guidelines.
Obtain and/or provides any missing information to complete required file documentation.
Meet processing time frames, as provided.
Review all documentation, i.e., credit report, legal lands, etc., and immediately notifies team of irregularities relative to standard underwriting guidelines.
Ensures that loan documentation meets relevant requirements (e.g., appropriate legal descriptions, signatures and dates).
Follows up for all loan supporting documents such as insurance certificates, invoices, etc.
Communicate any necessary exceptions/incomplete files to credit department for review.
Maintain open communication with team members and operations managers.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree or Associate's (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
Strong technical skills and familiarity with business communications and sales processes.
Ability to learn new software; Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Detail oriented, able to work independently and have exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to make decisions and act independently.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects independently and concurrently.
Demonstrated effectiveness in working well within a fast paced, dynamic environment with a high sense of urgency.
