Since its incorporation in 2016, Tucker has rapidly established a reputation for responsive government, collaborative partnerships, and forward‑looking leadership.
The City of Tucker is seeking an accomplished, forward‑thinking, and community‑minded Parks and Recreation Director to lead the City’s largest and one of its most visible departments. This is a rare opportunity to build on the legacy of a seasoned, highly respected former director and to shape the next chapter of a department that plays a central role in the quality of life, civic pride, and community identity of Tucker.
Reporting to the Assistant City Manager, the Parks and Recreation Director will serve as a key member of the City’s executive leadership team and provide strategic, operational, and inspirational leadership to a diverse and dedicated workforce of approximately 18 full‑time employees, 12 part‑time employees, and nearly 90 seasonal staff.
The City of Tucker is looking for a proven leader who combines technical expertise in parks and recreation administration with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for public service. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable setting long‑term vision, managing complex operations, engaging the community, and developing staff at every level of the organization.

The hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000.
