Role Overview ClarityPay is seeking a

Merchant Marketing Manager , a role that sits at the intersection of commercial storytelling, competitive intelligence, outbound strategy, and sales effectiveness.

This colleague will own the development of all sales- and client-facing content, oversee competitive and market intelligence, design outbound campaign messaging, and drive alignment across Sales, Marketing, and Product. They will ensure consistent messaging across all GTM channels while maintaining a real‑time feedback loop to keep our narrative competitive, differentiated, and market‑relevant.

Success in this role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing skills, strong GTM acumen, and the ability to collaborate deeply with internal partners including Business Development, Marketing, Product, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Legal.

Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Narrative Development

Create and manage all sales content including playbooks, talk tracks, pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and persona‑specific materials.

Translate complex product, pricing, and market information into clear, compelling, seller‑ready narratives.

Collaborate with Marketing on the development of merchant messaging for advertising, digital content, and integrated campaigns.

Maintain brand, voice, and GTM strategy alignment across all sales-facing assets.

Build cohesive stories tailored to different buyer personas, industries, and stages of the funnel.

Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights

Lead the competitive intelligence program, including battlecards, market scans, win/loss themes, and executive‑ready insights.

Monitor industry trends, competitor moves, and market shifts; translate insights into actionable updates for Sales, Product, and Marketing.

Serve as the internal expert on market dynamics and their implications on messaging and positioning.

Sales Enablement & Sales Readiness

Develop and deliver sales enablement programs including onboarding, narrative training, and ongoing readiness sessions.

Ensure sellers understand—and consistently use—core messaging, competitive positioning, and GTM narratives.

Gather field insights and sales feedback to continuously evolve messaging, content, and enablement programs.

Tradeshow & Event Management

Research Industry Shows by Vertical and determine w/BD team what shows they should attend vs. have a booth.

Manage all logistics including event or activation logistics.

Work with Graphic Design for required assets.

Coordinate with BD team on theme/messages.

Attend and set‑up/tear‑down for shows and events.

Outbound Strategy & Merchant Acquisition

Design outbound campaign messaging, themes, and content in close partnership with Commercial and Marketing teams.

Create and manage ABM and outbound sequences targeting ICP‑aligned accounts.

Support lead nurturing strategies with thought leadership and educational content that keep prospects engaged.

Content Governance & Quality

Maintain an organized, searchable content library with version control and usage analytics.

Establish standards for tone, structure, clarity, and required components for all sales assets.

Evaluate content performance to identify gaps, strengthen adoption, and improve effectiveness.

Data, Systems & Reporting

Partner with VP, Merchant Marketing on CRM (HubSpot) optimization, reporting, and content tracking.

Leverage data and call insights to refine messaging and identify improvement opportunities.

Report on content performance, enablement impact, and competitive trends to senior stakeholders.

Other Responsibilities

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Preparing recognition for merchant milestones.

Continually promote and exemplify ClarityPay’s values through trust, integrity, and collaboration.

Qualifications

Curious, energetic, positive, solution‑oriented, collaborative, and trusted.

3 - 12 years of experience in marketing roles, sales enablement, content strategy, product marketing, or GTM roles.

Exceptional writing, storytelling, and narrative development skills.

Strong communication and executive presentation capabilities.

Highly skilled in building sales content across multiple formats (web, email, SMS, decks, one‑pagers).

Strong content judgment and design instincts; familiarity with tools such as Figma, Canva, and AI content assistants.

Demonstrated ability to operate in early‑stage, fast‑moving environments.

Experience with sales operations, processes, and CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).

Strong analytical skills and understanding of performance reporting.

Effective at cross‑department collaboration and influence at scale.

Financial acumen: preferred lending experience.

Able to travel up to 20%.

Salary Range $90,000

-

$165,000

commensurate with experience and qualifications.
