Job Responsibilities
Performs painting tasks as assigned for the residential community, including removal of existing paint, preparation of surfaces to be painted, application of a variety of surface materials, and maintenance of painted areas for both indoor and outdoor projects.
Use of power cleaning equipment, chemicals, scrapes, sandpaper, and sanding machines
Applies patches, plaster, and sheetrock by using filler, tape, spackling compound, patching plasters, and other relevant products as needed
Prepares and installs vinyl wall coverings
Paints walls, ceilings, and other interior accessories as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum one year experience in painting trade and/or building maintenance, but two years’ experience preferred
Quality of work is accurate, thorough, and neat
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of painting and wall covering trade
Basic shop-level math and comprehensive understanding of English; must be able to read, write and communicate in English
