The workNet DuPage Career Center is funded through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and provides an extensive range of services to both job seeker and employer clients.

Responsibilities Include:
Builds a broad awareness among employers in DuPage County about the programs and services available through the DuPage Workforce Development Division (WDD)
Handles relationship development with target employers including cold calling and prospecting through service delivery and ongoing relationship management
Meets with target employers in DuPage County to evaluate employer needs and make connections to available services and resources offered by DuPage Workforce Development Division or other partner organizations
Establishes training grants and other service agreements for businesses in DuPage County
Works toward connecting qualified WDD job seeker clients with WDD business clients including job seekers with unique obstacles to employment
Provides information to Workforce Development Division counselors, other partner staff, and students and job seekers about future labor market trends that may impact redirection of training dollars toward specific industries or occupations
Maintain records and reports of business clients served
Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
Completion of a Bachelor's degree
One (1) year of related work experience
Possess and maintain in good standing, a valid Illinois driver’s license
The preferred candidate will:
Have Bachelors in Business Administration, Communications, or related field
Experience in business development, sales, or customer service
Possess strong communication and people skills
Have the ability to evaluate a situation and a client’s needs and devise solutions accordingly
Have experience in business relationship development
Have experience working with WIOA business services
Have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Pre‑employment background check is required.
