Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Employment Specialist role located in Chicago, IL. The Employment Specialist will assist individuals seeking employment by assessing their skills, providing career counseling, supporting job search processes, and matching them with suitable opportunities. Key responsibilities include conducting interviews, preparing candidates for job placements, offering training sessions, maintaining relationships with employers, and ensuring follow-up support post-placement.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Communication, including verbal and written communication, and active listening
Proficiency in Interviewing techniques and the ability to assess candidates' skills and potential
Experience in Customer Service and fostering positive relationships with diverse individuals
Expertise in developing and delivering effective Training programs
Recruiting skills, such as sourcing and matching candidates with job opportunities
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
Cultural competency and sensitivity to working with diverse populations
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, social work, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in employment services, workforce development, or a similar role is advantageous
