Non-Exempt JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a motivated Fresh Produce Associate to join our team, assisting in the daily operations and maintenance of the Produce Department to ensure exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Verify and communicate the quality, count, and freshness of all produce products. Prepare merchandise for the sales area, including trimming, packaging, weighing, and pricing. Create visually appealing displays of merchandise that are neat and colorful. Maintain freshness standards for all products on display. Ensure equipment and back room areas are well-maintained and clean. Monitor case temperatures and report any issues to the manager promptly. Provide excellent customer service through prompt and courteous interactions. Follow established policies and procedures for the department. Participate in the 'clean as you go' program to maintain a sanitary work environment. Develop product knowledge and assist customers in understanding product uses. Greet customers warmly and remain observant to their needs. Adhere to all company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook. SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist in unloading merchandise deliveries. Transport stock to appropriate coolers and storage areas. Monitor inventory levels and inform the Produce Manager when resupplies are needed. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Basic math skills for accurate product counting and invoice matching. Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction. Dexterity and skill in trimming and packaging produce. Ability to unload and transport merchandise to designated areas. Capability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds frequently throughout the workday.
