Summary
The Director of Credit Risk Analytics is a strategic leader who will shape and implement the credit risk analytics framework of our bank. This crucial role ensures the financial stability and compliance of our institution by leading the development of data-driven models, Allowance for Credit Loss (ACL) methodologies, and effective portfolio stress testing processes.
This position serves as a primary point of contact with regulators, internal audit, and external review teams, fostering transparency and accuracy in our credit risk practices. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of analytical proficiency, business insight, and leadership ability to advance our credit strategy aligned with evolving market dynamics and regulatory expectations.
This is a corporate position that can be based in any of our available bank divisions across our nine-state footprint.
The entry salary for this position is $194,617.81+ per year, calculated for Kalispell, MT. Compensation offers take into consideration various factors such as location, experience, and education.
Description
Lead the creation and improvement of credit risk models aligned with regional market needs and customer profiles.
Oversee the calculation and governance of the Allowance for Credit Loss (ACL), ensuring compliance with CECL and regulatory standards.
Direct the portfolio stress testing processes, including scenario design, execution, and reporting to senior management and regulators.
Analyze loan portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks in commercial, consumer, and real estate lending.
Offer actionable insights to enhance underwriting, loan reviews, and strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility for analytics and reporting.
Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and business line oversight.
Support strategic initiatives such as new product launches, market expansion, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Stay informed about regional economic trends and their effects on credit quality.
Mentor and develop a team focused on credit portfolio risk analysis and data management.
Engage with regulators, offering relevant analytics and documentation for examinations.
Work with internal audit and external teams to ensure compliance and transparency in credit risk management.
Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act.
Complete assigned training courses and achieve passing scores within designated timelines.
