Position Overview The Field Service Representative will report directly to the project leader. This is a client‑facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility as a Field Service Representative is to self‑perform, manage, coordinate and execute electrical maintenance projects and work efforts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Electrical System Maintenance & Testing
Perform maintenance and testing on electrical systems, including 3‑phase equipment, UPS systems, automatic transfer switches (ATS), generators, static switches, and power distribution systems.
Conduct troubleshooting using various electrical test instruments.
Perform primary and secondary injection testing on circuit breakers.
Read and interpret trip curves for proper system coordination.
Execute insulation resistance (megger) testing and low‑resistance (conductor) testing.
Conduct testing of single‑phase and three‑phase transformers (TTR).
Perform infrared (IR) scanning and interpret scan results.
Start up and commission electrical equipment and control systems.
Technical Knowledge & Documentation
Read and interpret electrical drawings, including one‑lines, three‑lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical blueprints.
Prepare detailed job findings and documentation following service activities.
Assist in the development of Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
Understand and apply coordination studies and communication protocols.
Program and troubleshoot communication devices.
Utilize PLC knowledge for troubleshooting and support.
Apply NFPA standards and comply with all company safety procedures, including LOTO.
Collaboration & Customer Support
Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and contractors.
Provide face‑to‑face customer service as needed.
Maintain communication with office personnel through email and mobile communication.
Participate in company‑provided training to continue professional development.
Support training and mentorship of less experienced team members.
Qualifications REQUIRED
Minimum 3+ years of experience as an OEM technician or facility maintenance professional.
Strong troubleshooting skills and technical competency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Physical dexterity and ability to work hands‑on with electrical systems.
PREFERRED
Experience in the electrical preventive maintenance field.
5+ years of electrical preventive maintenance experience.
IR scanning certification.
Previous experience as an OEM technician.
Prior experience as an electrician or maintenance technician.
Experience managing or coordinating vendors.
Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, soft starters, and industrial control equipment.
