Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic medical geneticist to join our team at AdventHealth Medical Genetics & Genomics program in Orlando, Florida. You will work with two other physicians and genetic counselors, expanding our dynamic program and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in pediatric cardiology, gastroenterology, general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, MFM, neurology, and transplantation surgery to provide state‑of‑the‑art genetic and genomic services.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical genetics services in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including evaluations, counseling, and therapeutic management.
Collaborate with the neonatology and pediatric liver transplant programs to develop a metabolic disorders program for infants, children, and adolescents.
Engage in research and teaching activities, participating in hundreds of clinical trials and studies aimed at improving patient care and discovering cures.
Work with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and support staff to design and execute research projects and clinical studies.
Participate in quality improvement and educational outreach within the AdventHealth system.
Qualifications
Board eligibility or certification in Clinical Genetics through the American Board of Medical Genetics & Genomics.
Commitment to medical education and ongoing professional development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse specialties.
Experience in pediatric genetics or interest in metabolic disease and transplant genetics is preferred.
