Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, is currently seeking a Claims Representative to join our team in Taunton, MA. The Claims Representative will follow Claims guidelines in reporting customer and other claimant property damage, garage keeper, faulty work, and other property liability damage claims to Sullivan Tire’s insurer when indicated. This individual may handle small claims such as glass or rim damage directly with the claimant/customer when no liability investigation is needed. The role requires decision making to determine liability, assess damage, resolve customer service concerns, and written and verbal communicate with store managers, customer and claimants. Time management is required to move claims toward resolution. The Claim Representative works independently, schedules tasks and manages a caseload of claims.
Responsibilities
Review first notice of claims. Obtain supporting documents. Investigate claims and determine liability promptly.
Report new claims to insurers via website submission or phone within 48 hours of receipt; upload supporting documents to insurer; request, update and maintain event party and event vehicle claim accuracy in CRM database.
Contact claimants to explain next steps. Maintain contacts as needed through resolution.
Contact appraisers, glass companies, tow companies, rental companies, body shops, wheel refinishing companies, and Sullivan Tire locations to obtain documentation of damage. Schedule repairs when indicated.
Process and record property damage payments. Log and track customer and claimant payments, insurance payments, vendor payments, and customer invoice credits. Ensure full recovery under first party insurance and third-party subrogation.
Request insurance and subrogation payments, maintain records of claim payments with corresponding documents.
Use a diary system to manage caseload of assigned claim files in the CRM database.
Requirements
Education/Experience: 1 year or more relevant claim handling
Licensed Claim Adjuster preferred
Knowledge of automotive mechanical repair or body shop repair
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills/Knowledge

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer service
Damage assessment and negotiation
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other database experience
