Responsibilities of Position
Manage costs for purchased components and tooling in alignment with procurement guidelines and organizational financial targets.
Achieve cost savings goals through effective negotiations, strategic sourcing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and manage RFQs/RFPs, conduct market tests, and evaluate supplier bids based on total cost of ownership.
Negotiate multi-year procurement contracts and long-term supply agreements.
Ensure accurate regional forecasting and tracking of commodity-level financial performance.
Source suppliers using LPP (Lowest Purchasing Price) methodology while ensuring product performance and quality requirements.
Create, deploy and continuously refine commodity strategy.
Evaluate, select, develop and maintain a qualified supply base in alignment with procurement and quality standards.
Control and maintain Soft Goods, Filters, Modules, Assemblies component and tooling costs by following procurement processes and ensuring pricing stays within project targets in alignment with the Advanced Procurement Team.
Serve as the primary procurement contact for the region, supporting category managers, internal customers and departmental needs.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced Tier I automotive environment.
Complete additional assignments and special projects as needed.
Skill Requirements
Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to influence outcomes and drive measurable results.
Highly self‑directed, with strong ownership, initiative, and ability to complete tasks independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively across all organizational levels.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong professional relationships with cross‑functional teams.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple priorities and complex workloads.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel (advanced functions preferred).
Familiarity with TS‑16949 or IATF 16949 quality systems.
Experience in a fast‑paced Tier 1 automotive supplier environment strongly preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
4+ years of progressive automotive purchasing experience.
Interest or experience in working with global suppliers or supporting cross‑regional activities.
