Role Summary Gotion is seeking an FTZ & Trade Compliance Specialist to support daily international trade operations, Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) compliance, and U.S. Customs processes for a fast-growing manufacturing operation.
This role supports inbound and outbound international shipments, FTZ admissions and withdrawals, broker coordination, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The specialist will work closely with Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, and external partners to ensure compliant, efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Support FTZ admissions, transfers, and withdrawals (214s, 7512s, consumption entries)
Maintain FTZ inventory accuracy and documentation integrity
Assist with manufacturing-related FTZ processes including:
WIP tracking
Scrap and destruction documentation
Ensure proper recordkeeping for CBP compliance and audits
Support FTZ reporting and reconciliation activities
Assist with HTS classification and country-of-origin verification
Support tariff analysis (e.g., Section 301 exposure, duty impact)
Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, CBP, and FTZ regulations
Maintain organized records in SharePoint and internal systems
Escalate compliance risks, data gaps, or process breakdowns appropriately
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, and Planning teams
Support standardization and documentation of trade and FTZ processes
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to compliance, automation, and visibility
Required Qualifications
2–5 years experience in import/export operations, customs compliance, or logistics
Working knowledge of U.S. Customs processes and documentation
Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
Proficiency with Excel and document management tools (SharePoint experience a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
FTZ experience (admissions, withdrawals, consumption entries)
Experience supporting manufacturing or WIP environments
Familiarity with HTS classification and tariff structures
Exposure to SAP, ERP, or trade compliance systems
CTPAT or audit-support experience
Prior experience working with China-origin imports

Expected Pay Range $90,000 - $110,000 USD
