Title: Business Analyst (ONLY W2) Duration: 12 Months Location: Cayce, SC (Onsite) Hours per Week: 40
Position Overview The Business Analyst Project Lead will support modernization, migration, and enhancement efforts for Financial and Administrative systems within the Office of Information Technology. The role focuses on understanding current and future system states, gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, supporting project activities, and assisting with testing, reporting, workflow development, and system implementation. The position works closely with Finance, Operations, IT staff, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure systems align with business needs, regulatory compliance, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Study and learn assigned Financial and Administrative system capabilities
Work with Program Area System Owners and SMEs to gather business requirements
Prepare, manage, and maintain project documentation
Schedule and facilitate stakeholder meetings
Support project task execution and administrative activities
Monitor project progress and produce status reports
Create work requests in ticketing systems as required
Develop future-state workflows and diagrams
Maintain and update system procedures and protocols
Perform problem resolution and elevate issues when necessary
Develop test plans and support program-area testing activities
Track testing results, issues, and defects
Support gap analysis between current and future states
Develop reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI
Update SharePoint collaboration content
Assist with system validation, production rollout, and lifecycle activities
Support compliance with IT standards, security requirements, and policies
Assist with development of policies and procedures related to cybersecurity and information risk management
Work closely with assigned managers to prioritize and schedule workload
Required Skills
5+ years of experience with Data Analysis and Data Mining using Excel and SQL
5+ years of experience with Workflow and Process Modeling
5+ years of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and MS SharePoint
5+ years of experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including modernization initiatives
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)
Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS
Experience with NIST industry standard information security practices
Experience with MS Project, MS Planner, and MS DevOps
Additional Skills
Ability to analyze and document business and system processes
Knowledge of IT best practices, organization, and operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of IT development and implementation projects
Ability to work effectively with technical teams, management, vendors, and users
Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
