VISION & PURPOSE OF ROLE The vision for this role is to provide a seamless flow of connecting people to adult ministry opportunities through administrative support and guidance. The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support and coordination, and to connect people to the ministry opportunity they are looking for—Young Adults, Men’s, Women’s, Senior's, LifeTrack or Small Groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all adult ministry opportunities, including but not limited to LifeTrack, Small Groups, and spiritual formation initiatives
Lead, Plan and execute adult discipleship events/classes (e.g., leader trainings, Equip nights, marriage/parenting classes, retreats)
Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and coach adult ministry leaders and group leaders
Direct the adult assimilation/Next Steps pathway (e.g., connection, LifeTrack, groups, serving)
Direct spiritual formation initiatives (classes, cohorts, studies, and pathways)
Manage and coordinate adult ministries alongside leadership teams: Young Adults, Men’s, Women’s, Senior's LifeTrack, and Small Groups
Manage the adult ministries budget and steward resources effectively
Assist LifeTrack and Small Group leaders with care, coaching, resources, and problem-solving
Assist in selecting and/or create discipleship curriculum and resources aligned with Brookside’s theology and strategy
Assist in tracking and reporting key metrics (group participation, LifeTrack completion, leader pipeline, retention) and maintain accurate records in the church database
Assist the Communications team for promotion, clarity of messaging, and church-wide visibility
Assist the Compassion Director as needs arise to connect adults into care and serving opportunities
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Preferred bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Theology, Leadership, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in adult ministry or a closely related ministry field or volunteer experience
Completion of a background check is required

An ability to focus on tasks and connect people to adult ministries and other staff members. Being able to keep focus despite potential distractions and finish tasks to completion, coming alongside others to support them through taking administrative responsibilities.
Volunteer Management -
An ability to recruit and train adult volunteers. Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits openness to other’s views; gives and welcomes feedback; and contributes to building a positive team spirit.
Relational -
An ability to encourage others in their next step of faith. A shepherd’s heart but also the ability to speak boldly. The ability to speak to all generations. The ability to communicate respectfully in negative and positive situations, being quick to assume the best about others, even in disagreement.
Long-Term Planner -
The ability to think about how decisions now affect the future of the adult ministries and the entire church. The ability to be proactive about needs and make plans accordingly. Also, they can process crises quickly, respond to them, and encourage growth in others.
NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to design, implement, and improve an Next Steps process for adults
Ability to recruit, coach, and retain adult ministry leaders and group leaders
Ability to plan strategically while executing details with excellence and follow-through
Ability to track and report ministry metrics and maintain accurate records in a church database
Ability to facilitate and teach effectively in group/class settings
Ability to collaborate cross-departmentally and communicate promptly and pastorally with adults across life stages
SUNDAY AVAILABILITY EXPECTATIONS
This role requires availability on Sunday mornings to connect with attendees, support ministry teams, and represent Adult Discipleship. Specific hours will be discussed during the interview process.
