Role Freelance In-country Copy Reviewer
Workload A few to several days per month. Availability required during April–June.
ROLE MISSION We are looking for a skilled German In-Country Copy Reviewer who can support with reviewing and auditing marketing copy for one of our large tech clients. The ICR will be responsible for providing feedback on our transcreations with a focus on brand tone of voice, terminology and accuracy of meaning. As part of their responsibilities, the ICR will also help us evaluate copywriting/transcreation tests we will receive from potential candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Content Evaluation:
Independently assess localised marketing materials for cultural appropriateness, linguistic accuracy, and alignment with the intended tone of voice.
Comparative Analysis:
Compare localised content against the original source to ensure the localisation effort accurately reflects the source's intent while appealing to the target market.
Cultural Insight:
Provide recommendations for adjusting content to better suit cultural norms and expectations, ensuring the campaign is both impactful and respectful.
Emotional Impact:
Evaluate the emotional resonance of marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with brand values and effectively engage the audience.
Feedback & Recommendations:
Deliver structured feedback to the localisation and marketing teams, highlighting areas of improvement and suggesting actionable strategies for enhanced localisation efforts.

Key Qualifications
German mother tongue
Good understanding of marketing or brand management/strategy background
Experience working with big global brands
Solid copywriting experienceStrong attention to detail
Full English proficiency
Nice to have - competency with Mac programs
Please note that this is a part‑time freelance opportunity, ideal for someone looking to supplement their existing work in translation, editing, or copywriting. The workload is occasional, amounting to just a few days per month.
