The Social Media Manager & Content Creator is responsible for leading the development of high-quality visual, digital, and multimedia content that strengthens Ironsmith Fire’s brand, supports organizational growth, and enhances internal and external communications. This role executes all creative design work, brand management, multimedia production, and digital content creation across the company. The Senior Creative Specialist reports directly to the Marketing Manager, collaborating with Operations, Sales, HR, Safety, IT, and Executive Leadership to ensure all creative outputs reflect Ironsmith Fire’s brand identity and business priorities.

POSITION SUMMARY The Social Media Manager & Content Creator reports directly to the Marketing Manager and collaborates with Operations, Sales, HR, Safety, and Leadership. This role is responsible for creating, publishing, and optimizing content that grows Ironsmith Fire’s brand, supports recruiting, and showcases our work in the field. This role owns Ironsmith Fire’s day-to-day social presence—capturing content on jobsites and at events, turning it into high-performing posts and short-form video, and keeping our content calendar moving across regions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Social Media Management (Core Responsibilities)

Own and manage Ironsmith Fire’s social media channels, including posting cadence, scheduling, community management, and consistent brand voice.

Build and maintain weekly and monthly social media content calendars in coordination with the Marketing Manager.

Publish content across primary platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook (and additional platforms as needed), monitoring engagement and overall performance.

Engage with comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner, coordinating internal responses for recruiting inquiries, sales leads, or community outreach when appropriate.

Proactively identify content opportunities from jobsites, project milestones, employee achievements, hiring needs, safety initiatives, and community events.

Content Creation (Core Responsibilities)

Capture high-quality photo and video content at jobsites, offices, training sessions, and events, with a strong emphasis on short-form video.

Edit and deliver short-form video content (Reels/Shorts-style), photo carousels, jobsite recaps, recruiting features, and testimonial clips.

Write engaging captions and short-form copy that align with Ironsmith Fire’s brand voice—clear, confident, professional, and grounded in field experience.

Develop and maintain recurring content series (e.g., Jobsite of the Week, Behind the Build, Meet the Crew, Service Spotlight, Safety Minute).

Maintain an organized digital asset library, including b-roll, photos, interviews, templates, and project highlights for ongoing use.

Support recruiting initiatives through consistent, authentic content highlighting crew culture, benefits, training opportunities, career paths, and job fair promotions.

Create content supporting seasonal campaigns, company announcements, community initiatives, and internal milestones.

Provide on-site content coverage for events as needed, including recap posts, highlights, and simple promotional assets.

Performance Tracking & Optimization

Track and report social media performance metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, clicks, and inbound messages or leads.

Test and refine content formats, hooks, messaging, and posting schedules based on performance data.

Proactively bring creative ideas and insights to the Marketing Manager, including recommendations on what is working, what can improve, and new content opportunities to explore.

Effective communicator in both office and field environments, able to engage comfortably with operations, foremen, and leadership.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control and delivering polished, professional work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Multimedia, or a related field preferred.

Five (5) or more years of experience in graphic design, content creation, or marketing roles, preferably within construction, field services, manufacturing, or a similar industry.

Demonstrated ability to efficiently capture and edit photo and video content using mobile devices and lightweight production equipment.

Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or comparable software.

Working knowledge of graphic design principles and tools, with experience using Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Experience developing branded templates and maintaining visual consistency across content and platforms.

Basic familiarity with website content management, SEO principles, or marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Comfortable communicating across different work environments—from office settings to job sites. capturing real work in real conditions (PPE, safety awareness, field schedules).

Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast-paced environment.

Capable of communicating clearly in person, by phone, and in written formats.

Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs for document handling or equipment setup.

Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time while working at a computer or desk, maintaining focus and attention during extended administrative tasks.
