We're looking for an energetic,

Fire Protection Designer

to help deliver solutions to our clients. You will work closely with the Fire Protection Engineer on projects, interface with clients & vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare fire protection design packages.

You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging design tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll work with a multi-discipline, highly interactive team to establish a fire protection design basis, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, and develop a fire protection engineering package. Your role keeps our company connected, and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.

Highlights of your contributions will include:

Utilize Revit to provide fire protection designs.

Conduct fire protection code evaluations, and develop fire protection design concepts based on code requirements, Owner requirements, and AHJ requirements.

Conduct hydraulic calculations for sizing of fire pump(s), fire water tank, site fire water piping, and fire riser(s).

Develop sprinkler design criteria packages for sprinkler contractors to develop shop drawing packages.

Develop fire pump system packages for fire protection contractors to finalize the design prior to construction.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Software experience in Revit and sprinkler calculation software (HASS, AutoSPRINK, etc).

At least eight (8) years’ experience in the design of fire protection systems (sprinkler systems / fire pump systems).

Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of fire protection systems.

Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Ability to collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Experience in the design of fire detection, fire alarm, and life safety/egress.

Past experience on data center projects.

The base salary range for this position is $75,900.00 to $104,400.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
