Job Requirements ICR, a leading strategic communications firm, seeks a highly motivated individual for a position on its Corporate PR team, providing PR support to leading companies across the
Restaurant, Restaurant Technology, Retail, Health & Wellness
sectors. The right candidate will have an interest in understanding how to gain visibility for clients, at the intersection of public relations and investor relations. The majority of account work will be focused on supporting account teams in servicing clients, specifically in developing media relations skills to gain coverage for our clients in the media. This is an ideal entry point into the world of corporate public relations – the right candidate will be trained for advancement and growth within a fast‑paced and fun work environment.
Responsibilities
General account support
Compiling daily media monitoring reports
Conducting company research/supporting new business efforts
Media relations activities, including maintaining knowledge and understanding of top business publications and broadcast media
Following industry trends and news, and overall interest in business media
Press release development and other writing responsibilities
Maintain an understanding of clients’ businesses, industries and issues that directly and indirectly affect those clients
Qualifications
Completed Bachelor's Degree
Strong writing ability
Organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage time in an organized manner while ensuring deadlines are met
An interest in working in corporate public relations (prior experience through internships or otherwise will be extremely valuable)
Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, Muck Rack, Cision (or related PR software) and/or ChatGPT is a plus
