Job Summary As a member of Horizon Media’s Futures Group, the

Senior Content Editor

develops and leads a cohesive storytelling strategy that elevates the practice and the organization—editing, shaping, and publishing work that drives press coverage, new business inquiries, and partnership opportunities. This role designs and delivers thought leadership by bringing research to life through sharp narrative, sophisticated data visualization, and strong visual systems, with fluency in advanced design tools and AI‑enabled workflows.

The Senior Content Editor plays a critical role in managing the communications and platforms that support Horizon’s thought leadership and market positioning. This person is a standout writer and digital content strategist with a strong pulse on emerging technology and digital/social best practices, paired with a refined eye for the aesthetics and craft of modern content creation and curation.

As a Center of Excellence within Horizon Media, the Horizon Futures Group is responsible for developing a deep understanding of people, brands and culture, diving into the interaction between these three ‘worlds’ and what this means for marketing, communications, content and other brand experience strategies. Using a range of datasets—behavioral, syndicated, spending, viewership, social, attitudinal and cultural—our team creates strategic studies and thought pieces to gain understanding and inform business decision‑making for our clients and showcase results to the industry at large.

A significant amount of this content is publicly available on a platform called Horizon Futures. The Senior Content Editor will lead the charge by expanding the volume of content to include thought leadership from other agency departments and by ensuring that all content reflects the agency’s voice. The role also involves managing, growing, and improving the overall site experience to support a paywall for non‑clients and optimizing SEO across our content hubs on Substack and LinkedIn.
