Instructional Designer, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $100,000/year USD
Crossover, New Bremen, Ohio, United States
Do you possess the ability to analyze the intricacies of a Shakespearean sonnet while simultaneously deconstructing the phonetic architecture of language? Consider applying that linguistic and literary knowledge alongside advanced AI to transform how millions of students develop mastery in language and literature. At 2 Hour Learning, we’re actively designing the future of English education—creating an adaptive, immersive learning experience.
We’re looking for a forward-thinking professional to spearhead our initiative in reshaping English and Language Arts education through sophisticated data analysis, cutting‑edge AI integration, and comprehensive subject expertise. Your objective? To accelerate student comprehension of language concepts and literary analysis by a factor of two, spanning from foundational phonics through advanced literary criticism.
At 2 Hour Learning, we’re redefining K‑12 education with measurable outcomes. Our AI‑powered learning platform is changing the way students engage with content, allowing them to achieve subject mastery at double the pace of conventional schooling. We’re not making incremental adjustments to the existing system; we’re constructing an entirely new framework, backed by concrete evidence of its effectiveness. Students on our platform routinely earn 4s and 5s on five or more AP exams, show growth exceeding two years on annual MAP assessments, and exceed their own beliefs about their capabilities.
What You Will Be Doing
Identifying patterns within student reading and writing data through AI analysis, converting these discoveries into innovative strategies that transform English language instruction and literary interpretation.
Developing AI‑driven tools that respond to diverse learning preferences, making grammar comprehensible, vocabulary acquisition engaging, and literary analysis attainable for students across all proficiency levels.
Creating adaptive learning sequences that adjust in real‑time, directing students from foundational phonics through the interpretation of sophisticated texts, ensuring every learner advances at the most effective rate.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of educators, linguists, and AI specialists to expand the possibilities of language education, directly influencing the educational experience of thousands of students.
Converting classical and modern literature into interactive, AI‑supported experiences that both educate students and spark their enthusiasm for reading and writing.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Overseeing conventional English curricula or performing administrative duties—this position focuses on innovation and strategic enhancement of language arts instruction and learning within our accelerated framework.
Operating independently—you’ll contribute as part of our collaborative team advancing the application of AI in English education.
Concentrating exclusively on theoretical concepts—each AI model you create will have direct implications for how students comprehend and utilize language skills in practical contexts, all within the 2 Hour Learning system.
Instructional Designer Key Responsibilities Deliver quantifiable enhancements in student English and Language Arts performance through AI‑powered analysis and execution, evidenced by a 2x acceleration in skill acquisition across multiple domains (reading, writing, grammar, literature analysis) and grade levels, all within our innovative 2 Hour Learning model.
