HB Construction is seeking a Marketing Manager to own the development of high-quality proposals and pursuit materials. This role has visibility, accountability, and real influence over how HB presents its work, expertise, and value to clients.
This position is ideal for a strong writer and editor who can organize complex information, lead pursuit strategy, and produce polished, compelling submissions under real deadlines. At HB, proposals are not paperwork. They are how we win work.
What You Will Do
Lead the end to end proposal process from strategy through final delivery
Develop win themes and narratives aligned to client priorities
Write and edit clear, persuasive, client focused proposal content
Lead proposal kickoffs, schedules, reviews, and final production
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all submissions
Collaborate with estimators, project teams, and leadership to shape technical content
Produce visually strong proposals with thoughtful layout and hierarchy
Maintain templates, boilerplate content, and proposal libraries
Improve systems and processes to increase quality and efficiency
What Success Looks Like
Deliver polished, compliant, strategically strong proposals
Maintain quality and calm under tight deadlines
Create a consistent, credible HB voice across all pursuits
Continuously improve proposal tools, content, and outcomes
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of proposal or pursuit experience in construction, AEC, or related industries
Advanced technical and creative writing and editing skills
Strong organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Comfort working with technical experts and company leadership
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
Photoshop and Illustrator preferred
Strong design instincts and attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
