
Marketing Project Coordinator

This position serves as a primary storyteller for Saint Paul College. They are responsible for working with the Marketing team to coordinate and timely deliver marketing project requests to various constituent groups within the College. This position will assist clients in submitting marketing project requests and provide general marketing consulting services to faculty, staff, and students. The consultation will include clarification of intended outcomes, target audiences, key messages, preferred media, and other essentials critical to completing the requested project. This position is responsible for helping coordinate projects delegated to freelance writers, photographers, and other marketing specialists hired to assist the permanent College marketing staff in completing tasks or projects. This position will also write and edit messages, stories, website content, social media content, scripts, and reports supporting the successful completion of marketing projects and initiatives within the College’s integrated marketing communications plan. This position will provide excellent communications and customer service to internal and external clients.
Job Duties:
Storytelling
Consultation with campus constituents regarding marketing requests
Ensures accuracy, standards, and voice of the College to internal signage and communications.
Provide additional assistance to the Marketing Department as requested or necessary
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $25.67 - $37.26 hourly.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience in English, writing, journalism, technical writing, or other related fields (An associate’s degree in a related field may substitute for 6 months of experience).
Strong project management skills required to coordinate multiple projects at one time and meet desired deadlines
Ability to work well in a team situation to take a project from the idea phase to production completion
Work experience or equivalent training and certification in formal project management techniques
Familiarity with higher education and the mission of two-year community and technical colleges
Familiarity with marketing theory and concepts
Knowledge of print production, bid specifications and industry terminology
Computer skills with project management software tools
Preferred Qualification
Formal project management certification (preferably PMP)
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in English, journalism, technical writing or related fields
5 years of work experience in the areas of writing, copy writing, editing and proofreading
Educational marketing experience including experience in producing support materials such as magazines, web graphics, promotional brochures, advertisements, flyers, handbooks and course catalogs
Knowledge of and experience with web maintenance and design
Previous experience in higher education or similar type of nonprofit organization
Experience in print production
Experience with budget management including working within budget and keeping within guidelines as well as working with other campus constituents
