Schedule Full‑time | Monday–Friday

Work Location Status Fully remote in the Evergreen Park, IL area.

Employees in hybrid or remote roles may be required to return on‑site periodically for meetings, events, or other work‑related needs as determined by their manager.

About the Role Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Scott Credit Union (SCU) Mortgage Department origination staff. Ensures that mortgage originations are in accordance with established policies, procedures, and legal requirements, and result in maximum volume, appropriate profit, and minimum delinquency ratios. Ensures that all mortgage loans meet SCU policy guidelines as well as any secondary market or governmental guidelines. Ensures that all subordinate areas of responsibility support Credit Union and Department objectives and goals. Ensures that services are delivered conveniently, professionally, and efficiently to all members and that any members’ concerns are addressed promptly.

What You’ll Do

Provide leadership and management of Mortgage Loan Originators in the Saint Louis and Chicago markets to achieve production goals, operational excellence, growth, and profitability.

Actively participate in local and state mortgage banking, realtor, and builder trade associations with the goal of promoting the Credit Union and developing referral relationships.

Communicate business goals, objectives, and company performance results to staff.

Assist origination staff in analyzing applicants’ financial status, credit, and income to determine basic loan eligibility.

Maintain a thorough understanding of mortgage industry knowledge and current issues.

Promote an effective sales environment through sales training, individual and team coaching, and creation of partnerships with other departments within Scott Credit Union.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Minimum two years mortgage origination experience.

Minimum one‑year management experience.Experience with automated loan origination and underwriting systems.

Personal computer experience to include Microsoft Office products.

Ability to travel.

A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle for travel, and state minimum insurance coverage.
