
Sales Representatives at Columbia Distributing play a crucial role in driving beverage sales across assigned territories.
Location & Compensation Kent, Washington, United States. Pay Range: $45,300 - $67,000 per year.
Summary Each rep is responsible for advancing and securing beverage sales, securing new business accounts, and supporting existing accounts through territory planning, selling, merchandising, and communication of company and supplier objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inventory expenses in accordance with company policy.
Interact with inter‑company departments, suppliers, and customers.
Support rotating and merchandising of product.
Complete all required training.
Maintain up‑to‑date industry knowledge (beer, non‑alcoholic, food journals, trends, market share).
Create opportunities and develop programs appropriate to customer base.
Submit all required reporting, pre‑plans, trackers, surveys, market surveys (MVPs), expense report, mileage log, etc. by required due dates.
Effectively sell the Columbia Distributing portfolio in all assigned accounts.
Maintain minimum visibility in assigned accounts equal to or greater than competition.
Increase net core brand distribution over baseline throughout the year.
Meet MVP standards in 80% of surveyed accounts and above MVP standards in 20% of surveyed accounts.
Accomplish sales and distribution goals by executing monthly, quarterly and annual business objectives and company initiatives.

Position Type/Expected Hours Full‑time. Days/hours vary and may include weekends.

Required Education And Experience
High School diploma or GED.
Sales Fundamentals (including Certified Sales Professional – CSP training and certification) required upon hiring; Cicerone level one required within one year of start date.
Minimum two (2) years of previous sales experience in the beverage industry.
Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Preferred Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous grocery or retail experience.
