Exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded, modern private membership club based in Boston, where hospitality, community, and curated experiences are central to the member experience. The Private Events Sales Manager will be responsible for building and executing a strong private events business, overseeing both social and corporate functions in a high-touch, relationship-driven environment. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, sales-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting where personalization, creativity, and service excellence are non-negotiable. Key Responsibilities

Lead sales efforts for all private dining, meetings, and special events, with accountability for revenue performance Actively prospect and develop new business through member relationships and referrals Meet with clients, conduct tours, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales and planning process Manage event planning and execution from inquiry through completion Negotiate and close contracts for private functions Collaborate with culinary and beverage teams to develop profitable, customized menus Produce detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure operational accuracy Oversee event setup, service standards, and on-site execution Drive repeat business through exceptional client experience and follow-up Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales and catering reports Maximize revenue through strategic upselling and creative event solutions Resolve client issues professionally and proactively Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of private events or catering sales experience, ideally within private clubs, luxury hospitality, or high-end event environments Strong understanding of event operations and service execution Experience in startup, opening, or growth-stage hospitality environments preferred Proven success in consultative sales, negotiation, and closing Financially savvy with a strong understanding of revenue optimization Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working independently Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as business demands Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
