Job Summary Responsible for profitable volume growth of all lines of business sold by the Restaurant Services Department. The Account Executive interacts with current and prospective customers to retain and grow volume, emphasizing prompt customer service and solicitation of new customers, including restaurants and food service establishments. Must effectively communicate Darling’s value proposition and problem‑solve through data‑driven communication.

Territory St. Louis

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Engage with existing customers to increase overall relationship span and convey Darling’s core competencies while delivering profitable volume growth.

Develop relationships with new and existing clients through personal contact or from internal leads supplied by the Customer Engagement Center.

Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on potential or existing customers.

Grow profitability by retaining and growing high volume and multi‑unit accounts in territory to meet or exceed company goals and objectives.

Understand product values; evaluate profitability of new and existing customers.

Implement sales strategies, and follow through to successful contract negotiation; prepare and execute service agreements.

Regularly utilize CRM for new and existing customer profiling, including data entry of required fields necessary for overall brand management.

Conduct site and equipment surveys and facilitate installs during pre‑ and post‑sales processes.

Work closely with Operations & Logistics teams to provide quality service to customers and efficient handling of material at plant locations.

Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions while making recommendations to management.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience selling to the restaurant industry.

Ability to travel up to 50% as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Exceptional problem solving and organizational skills.

Demonstrated computer skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM, and Oracle systems.

Positive attitude, ability to manage time effectively, work independently and proactively, and display solid follow‑up techniques.
