Emergency Care – Government Sales Manager – U.S. The Emergency Care (EC) Government Account Manager drives the government sales process for all of Emergency Care and provides leadership to a Government Sales team. The EC Government Account Manager is responsible for achieving an individual annual quota and focusing the team members on activities that drive impact and results. The EC Government Account Manager is responsible for the selection of talent, professional development, performance management and the execution of an Emergency Care Government business plan.
What you will do
Executes an individual business plan to achieve annual quota
Focuses selling effort on Other Government Agencies (OGAs) and works closely with Customer Solutions Team on VA and DOD hospital related business
Leads Upstream Government Sales including distributor sales process
Develops and maintains key KOL relationships within the Government procurement process
Identify contract solutions and drive the Government procurement process and provide greater access to EC products
Direct management of Government Sales team member(s)
Provides leadership, coaching, and direction to the team
Reinforce company vision, mission, and strategy and position
Assess talents and work closely with HR to continuously enhancing the productivity and effectiveness of the team with respect to people, development, retention, succession planning, and employee engagement
Designs and executes a short and long-term growth strategy for Government business and facilitates all communication with RMs, AMs, and Sales Leadership
Provide marketing material and product penetration reports to SYK EC and PRT sales forces to drive Government sales
Training for internal Emergency Care sales forces on “Selling to the Government”
Responsible for keeping Sales Leadership and Government Sales team informed of all sales related activity, market trends, highlights, and competitor activity across the nation
Plays a leadership role within the Emergency Care leadership team to ensure alignment of strategy and goals
What you will need Required
Bachelor’s degree.
Valid driver license in the state of residence with a good driving record
Preferred
3+ years of sales experience in medical device / disposables / capital equipment
Previous government sales experience
Sales management experience
Strong commercial/financial acumen; including demonstrated record of overachieving organizational goals (e.g., sales quota, growth quota, sales, P&L, engagement
$138,000 - $150,000
salary plus bonus eligible + generally eligible for short-term and long-term financial incentives + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Travel Percentage: 30%
