Job Description Obeetee, Inc. is looking for an intelligent and hardworking Associate Account Manager to join our New York City team. This is a great opportunity for anyone with sales/product development experience within the flooring or home furnishings sector. The Associate Account Manager will be responsible for cultivating and managing partnerships with our preferred clients, as well as, collaborating with new customers. We are looking for someone who can:
Partner with senior leadership to assist with retail and trade account maintenance and product development for key clients
Recommend sales strategies for improvement and for broadening the mix of product offerings, based on market research and competitor analysis
Develop product development initiatives for key clients in partnership with the design team
Ensure projects in the pipeline are taken to the finish line with approved pricing, quality and design so PO’s are placed
Follow-up with the logistics and order management teams to ensure all orders are on time
Handle shipments to and from the showroom including sample dispatch from our factories
Assist with onboarding of new clients and creation of product assortments/presentations
Management of showroom and in person client meetings
Collaborate on seasonal showroom set ups
Job Requirements
Prior experience in B2B, hospitality and residential sales
Ability to project manage multiple accounts simultaneously
Maintain major client relationships
Identify market opportunities and weaknesses or deficiencies and take action to ensure positive sales outcome
Work with Leadership to identify product gaps and opportunities and implement sales strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
Based in New York City--this is not a remote job
5 years of experience in sales and product development with an established home furnishings and/or flooring retailers, wholesalers and/or Importers
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Well-spoken and able to convey ideas, thoughts, and information effectively
Highly motivated, persistent, and skilled negotiator
Plans and carries out responsibilities with little to no direction
Comfortable working independently
Ability to take on and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
Handles deadlines and pressure with ease
