Job Description The Account Executive will:

Own the full range of Ethicon offerings of comprehensive surgical devices and solutions, including hemostasis, energy sealing, dissection, surgical stapling, and wound closure platforms.

Sell total end‑to‑end surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in an operating room setting.

Manage a sales territory focused on assigned physicians and hospital institutions.

Attain forecasts in assigned accounts and territory.

Set priorities and make sound business decisions based on an understanding of sales opportunities within accounts.

Demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in the operating room environment.

Handle customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology.

Execute the selling cycle in a concise, professional, ethical manner, within healthcare compliance guidelines, to lead the customer to action.

Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods learned in sales training courses.

Analyze data, stay updated on market information, and participate in business planning.

Build excellent customer relations with key physicians, hospital personnel, and authorized distributors; conduct customer education seminars as appropriate, comply with safety standards, and demonstrate product, procedure, and clinical knowledge.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

1+ year of relevant business experience demonstrating exceptional achievement of sales objectives, and/or clinical experience.

Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong preference for 1+ year’s experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare.

High sales performance (high growth, results vs. plan) and ability to target accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan.

Ability to collaborate with peers, marketing, strategic account managers, distributors, and key opinion leaders.

Strong time‑management and planning skills.

Hospital‑based pharmaceutical or medical device experience, especially operating room sales, and experience selling to a highly educated/high‑profile customer base.

Experience developing new, innovative markets.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, team‑oriented skills.

Pay Transparency The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. This position is eligible for a company car through the Company’s FLEET program.
