Position Summary
We are seeking a high-octane
Regional Sales Manager
to serve as a "Player-Coach" for a leader in fire detection and life safety. This is a critical leadership role designed for a "Builder" who thrives in growth environments and can personally drive revenue while scaling a high-performing team. You will be responsible for navigating complex, multi-stakeholder deals and installing the structure necessary to increase regional revenue capacity.
Commercial Leadership:
Lead from the front by personally driving revenue and establishing immediate credibility with both customers and the internal sales team.
Team Development:
Recruit high-caliber sellers and actively upgrade existing talent to support aggressive growth targets.
Process Ownership:
Implement structured sales frameworks, operating cadences, and performance standards to ensure predictable outcomes.
Strategic Selling:
Navigate complex deal architectures with discipline, influencing senior decision-makers with confidence and commercial acumen.
Cross-Functional Alignment:
Coordinate between Sales, Operations, and Engineering to ensure sold projects translate into seamless execution.
Pipeline Management:
Maintain rigorous forecast discipline to produce consistent and predictable revenue results.
Minimum Qualifications
Sales Track Record:
7–12+ years of quota-carrying sales experience with a clear progression into leadership.
Hunter Mentality:
At least 5+ years in outside, hunter-style sales roles.
Dual Ownership:
Proven experience successfully managing both an individual quota and a team revenue target.
Complex Closing:
Demonstrated success closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals (this is a non-negotiable requirement).
Leadership Impact:
Prior experience hiring and developing sales talent in a mid-sized organizational setting (50–250 employees).
Licensing/Location:
Must reside in Westchester, NYC, Nassau, or Suffolk County.
Knowledge & Personal Characteristics
Competitive Drive:
Naturally persistent and comfortable operating within ambiguity.
Relationship Range:
Commercially aggressive with the ability to build strong rapport across diverse stakeholder groups.
Execution Focus:
A builder who balances influential leadership with rigorous tactical execution.
Market Savvy:
Ability to identify expansion opportunities and pivot strategies to capture market share.
Compensation & Industry Focus
Total Earning Potential:
$175,000 – $275,000 (Base + Performance Incentives).
Priority Industries:
Candidates from Fire Alarm/Protection, HVAC/Mechanical, Building Automation, Security, or Telecommunications are highly preferred.
Tier II Considerations:
Experience in Capital Equipment, Industrial Engineered Solutions, or Medical Equipment is also valued.
