Assistant Superintendent

The Assistant Superintendent plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall excellence of the golf course or landscaping venue. Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, this position involves overseeing daily maintenance operations, supervising staff, and implementing turf care programs. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for irrigation maintenance, pest control, and ensuring course conditions meet or exceed industry standards. This role also involves budget management, equipment maintenance, and collaborating on long-term course improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for turf management and a strong background in golf course maintenance practices. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment are essential for success in this role. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in golf course maintenance Strong knowledge of turf care practices, irrigation systems, and pest management Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire Experience with budget management and project planning Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair
