The Screen Printer is responsible for producing high-quality printed apparel through efficient, accurate, and consistent screen printing practices. This role plays a critical part in delivering products that meet design specifications, production timelines, and quality standards. Success in this position means prints are clean, consistent, on time, and production flows smoothly from setup to breakdown.

This role works closely with the production team and reports to the Production Manager. The Screen Printer is a hands‑on position that directly impacts customer satisfaction and overall shop performance.

Production schedules are met or exceeded without sacrificing quality

Equipment is maintained, clean, and running properly

Communication with the production team is clear and proactive

Workspaces remain organized, safe, and efficient

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and break down manual and/or automatic screen printing presses

Register screens accurately and ensure proper ink coverage and consistency

Mix inks to match approved artwork and color specifications

Print garments according to job tickets, artwork proofs, and production schedules

Inspect prints throughout production to maintain quality standards

Troubleshoot printing issues such as registration, ink coverage, or flashing problems

Perform basic press maintenance and assist with reclaiming screens as needed

Keep production areas clean, organized, and safe

Collaborate with team members to ensure jobs move efficiently through production

Follow shop policies, safety procedures, and production standards

Qualifications

Experience with screen printing (manual and/or automatic presses preferred)

Strong attention to detail and commitment to print quality

Ability to follow instructions, artwork proofs, and job specifications

Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting boxes of garments

Basic understanding of inks, screens, and print processes

Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment

Strong communication skills and positive team‑oriented attitude

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred (but not required)

Experience with multi‑color jobs and high‑volume production

Knowledge of reclaiming, coating, or screen prep processes
