In this position, you will coordinate and arrange the transportation of freight by negotiating with carriers and securing optimal shipping rates. Responsibilities also include managing relationships with carriers, dispatching shipments, monitoring shipment progress, and resolving any issues that may arise during transit. The Freight Broker will ensure that logistical operations run smoothly and that all customers are provided excellent service.
Qualifications
Experience in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage operations
Knowledge and experience in Dispatching and coordinating shipments
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in logistics and freight management software is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent is essential; a college degree is a plus
