ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, NIL EVENT SPONSORSHIPS & OPERATIONS (AUBURN SPORTS PROPERTIES)

THE RUNDOWN This position will identify, pitch, and secure sponsorship agreements that drive incremental revenue for NIL-related special events. Specifically, this role will collaborate with key stakeholders in the Auburn NIL ecosystem including athletics staff, campus partners, and brand reps to drive new revenue that meets and exceeds team goals. Lastly, this role will assist with the coordination and fulfillment of sponsored activations and NIL-related operations.
What You’ll Accomplish
Assist in developing and executing a sales plan to meet individual and team revenue targets
Identify and perform outreach to potential event partners through networking with the university stakeholders and business partners, researching local & regional companies
Integrate NIL assets into sponsorship packages
Create sales proposals and draft/negotiate contracts
Identify new and emerging opportunities for NIL integration across a variety of mediums
Support brand partners with the fulfillment of NIL activations and student-athlete deliverables
Represent the university sports property, the university and Playfly Sports Properties in a professional manner
Create and maintain tracking mechanism for all activations contracted, negotiated, and facilitated through university partner
Maintain knowledge of the collegiate athletics landscape as it relates to NIL and revenue sharing between universities and student-athletes
Assist in the end-to-end fulfillment process for NIL campaigns and NIL-related events
Serve as the liaison between brand representatives and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of all deliverables in support of NIL event sponsorships
Develop and manage activation timelines, checklists, and campaign trackers.
Support content planning, scheduling, and distribution tied to brand collaborations.
Assist in preparing and processing contracts for NIL deals, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
Coordinate with legal, compliance, and administrative staff as needed.
Support branded content development, including gathering creative assets, managing athlete deliverables, and organizing approvals.
Collaborate with the Playfly Max Creates and Athletics creative on visual collateral and storytelling
Maintain strong communication with key stakeholders in the NIL ecosystem at Auburn including athletics staff, student-athletes, brand reps, and campus partners.
Help build foundational systems, processes, and tools for the launch and growth of special event sponsorships at Auburn
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree (marketing, sports management, communications, or related field preferred).
1–3 years of experience in sales, fundraising, marketing operations, brand partnerships, event marketing, or related areas.
Familiarity with NIL, college athletics, or influencer campaigns is a strong plus.
Ability to generate and present ideas and concepts succinctly and provide creative solutions to prospects and clients
Strong verbal and written communication skills which are essential for interactions with brand partners, industry leaders, administrators, and other key stakeholders
Highly organized with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
Comfortable navigating working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
