Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Senior Interior Designer and Drafter role in Princeton, NJ. Responsibilities include space planning, developing design concepts, preparing construction drawings, coordinating FF&E, and collaborating with clients and team members to deliver projects that meet aesthetic, functional, schedule, and budget goals.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design to create innovative and functional living spaces
Strong experience in Architecture and Construction Drawings to develop precise and detailed plans
Excellent communication and project management skills to collaborate with clients and the design team
Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations is a plus
JOB REQUIREMENTS
5-7 years of professional work experience on residential projects
Exceptional skills in SketchUp & LayOut, AutoCAD, or Chief Architect
Understanding of new home construction and renovation
Highly Organized and detail‑oriented
Experience with Studio Designer software is a plus
Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, and Excel preferred
Polished client communication and management skills
Enthusiastic and Positive approach
Knowledge of quality high‑end custom furniture
Must be in the Princeton Office area and willing to travel to job sites with own transportation
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with sharp attention to detail
Must be able to lift 30 pounds

RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in managing and executing all aspects associated with luxury ground‑up construction and renovation projects from initiation to completion, including space planning, material selection, furniture and lighting specification, plumbing specification, tile layout, and millwork design.
The firm relies heavily upon 3D modeling. This position will have primary responsibility for developing accurate drawings and construction documents for all projects.
Collaborate with outside architects, contractors & subcontractors, vendors, and other 3rd parties.
Prepare client presentations & proposals.
Coordinate & attend client meetings.
Create and revise floor plans, furniture plans, electrical plans, shop drawings, detailed interior elevations, and 3D models.
Create and revise finish and paint schedules.
Research, source, and price furniture, fittings, and finishes.
Assist the business manager in preparing budgets and reconciling costs at the close of projects.
Ensure accuracy, timely delivery, and quality of all purchasing activities.
Support installations, including pick‑ups, collections, oversight of installation partners, installation supplies, cleaning, and touch‑ups.
Manage project administrative needs, including shipping, messengers, organization, and maintenance of project materials, sample returns, and errands.
Manage priorities across multiple projects and team members, communicating proactively to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain accurate and detailed hourly billing records.
Coordinate with our suppliers to resolve product deficiencies. Requires a thorough knowledge of fabric properties, upholstery, furniture finishes, receiving, and reporting requirements.
