Overview
The Global Community Operations (CommOps) organization provides support to Uber customers and various partners. As autonomous vehicles (AVs) become an increasingly important part of our offering, we are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Strategy Program Lead to manage the strategy for AV Support. This role will sit at the center of AV Support's strategic roadmap - owning executive narratives and high-impact strategic programs that shape how AV Support scales across partners, geographies, and capabilities. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across CommOps, Ops, and Product to translate ambiguity into clear direction, support executive decision-making, and ensure strategic coherence as the business grows in size and complexity. What You'll Do
Strategy of Record & Goal Setting: Create and maintain the team's strategy of record (inclusive of connecting business and tech), defining long-term strategic priorities, and translating them into actionable team OKRs. Executive Communications: Drive the narrative for monthly and quarterly leadership reviews (MBRs) and develop high-stakes presentations for executive leadership - both internally and externally. Strategic Programs and Special Projects: Lead or contribute to high-impact strategic initiatives that are net-new, highly cross-functional, or of critical importance to AV Support or CommOps. This includes developing advanced financial models, business cases, and strategic framing for priority investments. Chief of Staff Support: Act as a strategic partner and Chief of Staff for AV Support leadership, stepping in to manage key priorities, internal communications, planning and executing team summits, and alignment needs across the organization. 3P Testing & Competitive Intelligence: Partner with cross-functional leads to build out our third-party testing program and conduct market research to benchmark AV support models against industry standards. External Value Proposition: Define and articulate the external value proposition of AV Support, reinforcing its strategic role within Uber and with autonomy partners. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or program management Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience developing executive-level narratives and supporting senior leadership decision-making Autonomous thinker / worker with ability to independently drive projects from scope to delivery with a self-driven and disciplined approach Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with financial modeling and business case development Proven experience of cross-functional influence and driving results across Product, Tech, Finance, and Ops in a complex global organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior audiences Experience operating in highly regulated, technical, or operationally complex environments Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to develop strategies and make decisions quickly Prior exposure to autonomous vehicle programs or similar high-innovation spaces Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with strong business judgment and ability to move from detail to executive level strategy and presentations. For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$146,000 per year - USD$162,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: USD$162,000 - USD$180,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: USD$162,000 - USD$180,000 per year. For Washington, DC-based roles: USD$162,000 - USD$180, per year. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
