Counter Sales Representative – Bedford Heights, OH (Retail shop)
How You Will Contribute and Grow Airgas is hiring a Counter Sales Representative to sell medical, industrial, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and hard goods to walk‑in and telephone customers. The role includes warehouse support, order processing, and maintaining showroom standards.
Responsibilities
Sell products, solicit sales from walk‑in and telephone customers, and identify product needs.
Accurately complete and file required paperwork, document sales and quotes, and enter data into computer systems.
Process payments, wrap and bag merchandise, and assist customers with loading goods into their vehicles.
Provide warehouse support for shipping, receiving, inventory stocking, cleaning, labeling, and restocking store merchandise.
Follow safety procedures, including cylinder handling and required safety protocols.
Maintain showroom cleanliness, current price documentation, and product literature.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of product, warehouse, and/or sales or customer service experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
Strong background in gas, welding, or safety supply industry with retail experience.
Experience with industrial gases and/or welding supplies.
Prior SAP experience.
Forklift operating experience.
