About Whetstone
Whetstone Admissions is a boutique college admissions firm founded by Cole Whetstone, a Harvard graduate who went on to receive a full scholarship to Oxford University (and teach Ancient Greek there). Drawing on the study systems he used to learn nine languages and succeed at the highest academic levels, Whetstone helps students reach top universities through long-term planning, extracurricular development, and strategic essay work.
Qualifications
Required: Fluent Mandarin and English (written & spoken)
Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
Strong written communication and professional presence
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
What You’ll Gain

Responsibilities: Client Experience
Communicate with parents and students (email, messaging, scheduling)
Prepare families for meetings and ensure follow-through afterward
Maintain organized client records and status updates (CRM/Airtable)
Attend select in-person meetings in Midtown when needed
Support a polished, high-touch client experience
Responsibilities: Marketing & Branding
Create and update marketing materials (e-books, website content, process guides)
Translate marketing materials (English ↔ Mandarin)
Coordinate with graphic designer and branding/SEO partners
Prepare newsletters and announcements
Support event logistics and promotional efforts
Assist with outreach and communication campaigns
