Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Marketing & Communications team in the role of

Senior Communications Associate.

This position is a full time, hybrid role supporting the Fort Wayne region. Role Responsibilities

Identifies and carries out internal communications objectives. Collaborates with all layers of management to recommend and execute key communications strategies. Partners with internal clients to assess communication needs on strategic projects, and devises comprehensive communications plans to inform, engage, and inspire team members. Supports public relations and external communications efforts by contributing to media relations and corporate reputation management, supporting the development and execution of media strategies, assisting with issues and crisis communications as appropriate, analyzing media coverage to inform ongoing improvement, and creating social media content to support brand awareness and community engagement. Creates compelling, action-driven messages and stories, provides art direction for, and produces internal communications programs/projects in support of the overall communication strategy and key objectives. Leads the production of multiple communication vehicles (including publications), including writing, editing, formatting, and design of deliverables. Partners with graphics, vendors, and other support teams to drive communications plans and deliverables. Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies. Preferred

Experience working in a matrix organization

Experience in or around government affairs

Experience working with the Fort Wayne community

Experience with Executive communications

Required

Bachelor's Degree required.

Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or other related discipline required.

3-5 years of experience.

Experience in interviewing required.

Experience with creative and well-rounded writing and editing required.

Experience with designing and producing a variety of communication materials required.

Requires proficiency in internal communications best practices, social media platforms, and publishing applications.

Experience exhibiting professional judgment and diplomacy in handling unexpected problems and frequent interruptions.
