
Account Executive
RALLY is seeking an Account Executive to support the development and execution of strategic communications and advocacy campaigns across a range of issue areas. Account Executives are core contributors to client work and play an essential role in turning strategy into clear, compelling communications that move audiences and advance impact.
In this role, you will support multiple client teams and collaborate closely with account leads, strategists, creatives, and specialists across the firm. You will contribute strong writing, thoughtful messaging, and reliable project execution across deliverables including messaging frameworks, written content, briefing materials, and campaign assets.

Responsibilities Messaging, Writing, and Content Development
Draft, edit, and proof a wide range of written materials, including messaging frameworks, talking points, press materials, briefing memos, client presentations, web copy, email content, and social copy
Support the development of campaign and organizational messaging that is grounded in shared values, responsive to audience insights, and aligned with strategic goals
Apply strong editorial judgment to ensure clarity, consistency, tone, and accuracy across all written deliverables
Incorporate feedback from account leads, messaging specialists, and clients, revising work efficiently and thoughtfully
Account Support and Project Execution
Support day‑to‑day account management across 2–4 client teams, including task coordination, timelines, and deliverables
Collaborate with internal teammates across strategy, research and analysis, digital, earned media, thought leadership, and creative to ensure integrated execution
Conduct research and synthesize findings into clear takeaways that inform messaging and communications strategy
Track deliverables and help ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard
Client and Team Collaboration
Participate in client and internal meetings, contributing updates, notes, and follow‑up actions
Communicate clearly and professionally with teammates and clients regarding timelines, deliverables, and revisions
Support preparation for client presentations, briefings, and media or public‑facing moments
New Business and Firm Support
Contribute to new business development by supporting proposal writing, research, and messaging development
Assist with internal initiatives such as case studies, proposals, marketing materials, and firm‑wide writing needs
Take initiative to build skills, seek feedback, and grow responsibility over time
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in communications, public affairs, advocacy, public relations, or a related field (agency, nonprofit, campaign, foundation, or government experience preferred)
Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience producing clear, compelling content for external audiences
Experience supporting messaging development, content creation, or communications strategy across multiple formats
Strong attention to detail, including proofreading and quality control across written deliverables
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Comfort collaborating across teams and taking direction while also working independently
Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace and project management systems
Strong verbal communication skills and a professional, service‑oriented approach
Curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to grow within a mission‑driven organization
Nice to Have
Experience supporting issue advocacy, public interest, or mission‑driven causes
Familiarity with messaging frameworks, audience‑based communications, or narrative strategy
Experience editing or punching up writing produced by others
Exposure to digital, earned media, or thought leadership workstreams
Comfort supporting proposals, pitches, or other new business materials

We will review applications through March 06, 2026, and begin interviews shortly thereafter. The anticipated start date for this position is April 13, 2026.
