Job Summary

The C. Harper Auto Group is seeking an Experienced and Passionate Sales Manager in the Automotive Industry to join our growing team of over 400 employees! The right candidate will have a proven track record of achieving goals and be enthusiastic about training and leading others. As a local industry leader in the automotive sector, The C. This position involves overseeing a team of Automotive Sales Consultants, ensuring all customers' needs are met, questions answered, and concerns resolved throughout their entire purchasing process.

Responsibilities Team Leadership and Development

Train and mentor automotive salespeople.

Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and performance of the sales team.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and high morale.

Sales Strategy and Execution

Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals.

Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and track progress toward these goals.

Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns.

Customer Relationship Management

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and addressing customer concerns promptly.

Assist customers in selecting vehicles by asking questions and understanding their needs and preferences.

Present and demonstrate new and used vehicles to potential customers, highlighting key features and benefits.

Follow up with customers post‑purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Operational Management

Oversee the daily operations of the sales department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

Manage inventory levels, coordinating with the purchasing department to ensure an optimal selection of vehicles.

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional showroom environment.

Financial Management

Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring cost‑effective operations.

Monitor sales and profit margins, implementing strategies to maximize profitability.

Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management.

Qualifications Experience and Education

A minimum of 5‑7 years of experience in automotive sales management, with a proven track record of success.

Leadership and Management Skills

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Experience in training, mentoring, and developing sales personnel.

Ability to set clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable.

Sales and Customer Service Expertise

In‑depth knowledge of automotive sales processes and techniques.

Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing a superior customer experience.

Ability to effectively handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, team members, and other stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve common goals.

Analytical and Problem‑Solving Skills

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and trends.
