The gig: You'd be handling ad sales across a small portfolio of established podcasts:
Longview
—400k downloads/month — new investigative journalistic outlet from the creators of The Daily and The Witch Trials of JK Rowling
The Fifth Column
— 50K downloads/month, 29M total since 2016
This means prospecting, pitching, closing deals, and maintaining advertiser relationships. We want someone who builds real partnerships with brands that actually make sense for these audiences.
What we're looking for:
Significant experience in podcast/audio/YouTube ad sales
You actually know these shows — the audiences, the tone, what sponsors fit
Established relationships with advertisers, agencies, or direct-to-consumer brands are a huge plus
Can work independently; we're not going to micromanage you
Comfortable with a trial period before we go full-time
The deal: We're flexible on structure — could be commission-based, could be retainer + commission, could convert to full-time with base salary after a trial period. Let's talk about what works.
