
Job Location: Utica, NY
Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000
This position is based in our Utica, NY location. We are looking for someone to support electronic warfare (EW) software applications in field environments. This candidate will lead and support the design, development, assembly, test, and integration of advanced software defined radio (SDR) frequency systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead development of analog and digital Radio Frequency components including antenna, front end filters and amplifiers, for a wide range of RF SDR based products primarily in L, S and C-Bands.
Work within a cross functional team environment including directing and managing subcontractors to develop hardware/firmware solutions.
Perform component selection, design and characterization of transmitters, receivers, exciters, antennas, and RF feed networks on the bench and in an anechoic chamber.
Perform requirements analysis; architecture trades; specification development; simulation and modeling; schematic capture; and hardware assembly, integration and testing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
A detailed working knowledge of electromagnetics, antennas and microwave design.
5+ years of RF engineering experience in L, S and C-Bands. X-KA band experience is a plus.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Experience with analog integrated circuit design on PCB with a focus on noise figure and RF noise mitigation.
Knowledge in both software and hardware development, specifically for RF devices.
Hands‑on experience with tools, test equipment, and circuit prototyping and evaluation.
Proficient using various lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, meters, spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers.
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills.
