As an Industrial Regional Sales Engineer for South Germany, Switzerland and Austria , you will build and manage the industrial business within assigned territory and establish long term relationships with key customers through regular visits. Responsible for achieving yearly bookings targets for industrial business including OE, Parts and Service. The Industrial Regional Sales Engineer you will also establish and coordinate the regional distribution business within the territory of responsibility. Through assisting in the enrollment of new distributors, setting targets and objectives, and supporting their growth through day-to-day collaboration (product presentations, joint visits, etc). Main Responsibilities: Identifying the top potential industrial customers in the territory of responsibility. Define a Plan by Customer including specific sales targets, visits / contacts targets, specific product sales, etc. for the top customers (A Accounts). Calling on top industrial customers in the territory on a regular basis to grow the business in all market segments. Develop
and maintain long-term relationships with top accounts. Pro-actively follow-up opportunities, detail scope requirements. Also ensure existing orders meet customer needs and warranty issues are addressed satisfactorily Maintaining active communications and relationships with respective In-House stakeholders, utilizing all available team support to provide viable customer solutions. Assisting in the enrollment of Official Distributors in the assigned territory and providing supportby transferring accounts, providing product/application presentations, conducting joint visits, and participating in setting targets and regular follow-up meetings. Providing
new pump opportunities to Inside Sales for quoting and specifications. Delivering and following-up of quotations to industrial accounts and distributors. Negotiating
orders , including all technical, commercial, and legal terms and conditions to mutual satisfaction of all parties Travelling regularly to customer locations to ensure close and regular face to face contact per company guidelines with up to 75% travel. Entertaining customers during and outside normal business hours on regular bases. Participating in Team Selling efforts by passing on sales opportunities / leads generated during daily activities via CRM to other Ruhrpumpen sales channels as defined by commission policy and guidelines. Maintaining
all company tools incl SugarCRM in good working order. Reporting. Providing feedback to management on market / customer developments, competition, business opportunities, etc. Participating in promotional activities, like mailings, exhibitions Achieving yearly bookings targets Qualifications & Required Competencies: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Ability to travel to meet customers, up to 75% of the time. 5+ years’ experience selling industrial pumps. Experience working with top potential customers within territory of responsibility (partial or full) Knowledge of local competitors and their products and services offered. Experience utilizing CRM software for account and territory management.MS Office Native German Fluent communication skills in English.
