Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Customs Specialist role based in Auburn Hills, MI. The Customs Specialist will manage and oversee import and export compliance to ensure adherence to U.S. Customs regulations. Responsibilities include handling customs brokerage activities, preparing and submitting required documentation, managing import/export operations, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders and ensuring timely and efficient clearance of goods while minimizing costs and mitigating risks.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge and experience in Customs Brokerage and compliance regulations
Proficiency in managing Import and Export operations
Effective communication skills to work across teams and with external stakeholders
Experience in Import/Export documentation, processes, and procedures
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure
Proficiency in relevant software systems and tools
A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related fields is preferred
Familiarity with customs regulations specific to the automotive industry is an advantage
