Global Customs & Trade Compliance Manager As the Global Customs & Trade Compliance Manager, you are responsible for the strategic execution of Tive's global market expansion. You serve as the technical authority on how our technology reaches international markets, turning complex regulatory requirements into a streamlined competitive advantage. Your work ensures Tive can scale rapidly into new territories by removing trade and compliance barriers that slow global sales.

This position takes full ownership of Tive's trade infrastructure. You will manage the roadmap for establishing new country entities and internal Importer of Record capabilities to directly support our global reach. By navigating the complexities of international trade, you will ensure our hardware moves through customs without delay and further develop our established global programs.

Our Ideal Candidate Has

10+ years of leadership in global customs, trade compliance, and international logistics

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field (Required); MBA preferred

Expert-level knowledge of HTS, product classification, and Country of Origin (COO) reviews

Extensive experience defining and implementing INCOTERM strategies

Working knowledge of global VAT, GST, and indirect tax requirements for international tradeExperience managing Export Controls, including ECCN classification and Denied Party Screening

Proven success in managing global broker partnerships and duty drawback programs

Direct experience managing WEEE compliance and IMMEX (Mexico) programs

Strong communicator who leads cross-functional projects across Sales, Planning, and Finance

Data-driven, detail-oriented, and process-focused

Professional experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)

Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) preferred

What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee end-to-end customs clearance to ensure hardware moves across borders without delay

Drive the establishment of new country entities and IOR capabilities to support global expansion

Develop and audit Broker KPIs to ensure 100% filing accuracy and documentation integrity

Partner with Finance to manage VAT and GST registration and compliance

Advise Sales and Finance on Incoterms and landed costs to protect margins and deal integrity

Maintain and audit WEEE and IMMEX programs to ensure Tive remains in compliance

Establish a global recordkeeping program to ensure Tive remains 100% audit-ready

Convert complex regulations into repeatable SOPs and "Playbooks" for the wider team to follow

Execute data and filing requirements to maximize capital recovery via Duty Drawbacks

Resolve international shipping issues and customs holds in real-time as the primary backstop
