Benton Lane (formerly Compound Foundry) is a rapidly growing family of eCommerce home and decor brands—including Painted Paper, Lemon Park, Carbon Designs, Aspen&Arlo, and Anthem. We’re looking for a Brand Manager to take the lead on growing one of Compound Foundry’s most beloved home and decor brands - Painted Paper. This role is perfect for someone who’s equal parts creative and strategic—who loves aesthetics, storytelling, and making things better every day.
As the Brand Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for all things Painted Paper - owning the day-to-day operations, setting the tone and look of the brand, and making sure everything from our website to our promotions to our social content feels cohesive and intentional. You’ll partner closely with our marketing and content teams to grow brand awareness, drive conversions, and keep customers coming back for more.
This is a great opportunity for someone who’s ready to take ownership, learn fast, and help shape the future of a brand with tons of heart and creative potential.
What You’ll Do
Own the Painted Paper P&L mindset by understanding how revenue, margin, discounts, and production costs impact brand profitability
Identify growth opportunities through assortment expansion, pricing strategy, promotional planning, and channel optimization
Think like a general manager for the brand, making decisions that support both short-term revenue and long-term brand equity
Monitor product-level performance and recommend assortment changes based on sell-through, margins, and customer demand
Partner with leadership to set brand-level revenue goals and help build plans to achieve them
Analyze promotional effectiveness and recommend when to push, pull back, or pivot strategy
Use market trends and competitor positioning to refine Painted Paper’s place in the wallpaper category
Own the brand tone and aesthetic across all touchpoints
Advocate for Painted Paper’s priorities internally, representing the brand’s business needs in cross‑functional conversations
Balance growth and brand protection - knowing when to drive volume and when to preserve premium positioning
Help shape pricing, discounting, and launch strategies with an understanding of contribution margin
Manage website updates and product page improvements to ensure visuals, copy, and layout are always optimized
Collaborate with the marketing team on email, paid ads, and promotional campaigns, making sure everything is on‑brand and performing well
Track performance metrics like ROAS, conversion rate, and production metrics, and use insights to inform future decisions
Drive strategy and execution on brand-level initiatives - new collections, promos, product launches, and more
Help guide social media direction, contributing ideas for fresh, scroll-stopping content
Partner with our content team to brainstorm and brief content that tells our story and connects with our audience
Develop and maintain a content and promotions calendar to keep everything organized and aligned
Who You Are
You think beyond aesthetics and understand that strong brands are built on both creativity and financial performance
You naturally evaluate ideas through a business lens—asking how decisions impact growth, margin, and long-term brand value
You’re a creative problem solver who can juggle a lot, prioritize well, and move things forward
You can zoom out to see market positioning while still executing day‑to‑day brand work
You’re excited to learn how a brand operates at a P&L and category level
You think like a business owner and take pride in driving growth and results
You have a sharp eye for design and brand consistency – you care about the details
You’re comfortable with (or excited to learn) tools like Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics
You understand (or are eager to dive into) ecommerce KPIs and what makes a campaign or product page convert
You love working on a small, scrappy team where you can have a big impact
You’re adaptable, curious, and ready to grow with a fast‑moving company
Why Join Us Compound Foundry is a small but mighty team, and growing fast. Joining now means getting in early and helping shape what comes next.
At Painted Paper, you’ll get to make creative, joyful products that brighten people’s homes – and do it alongside a supportive, smart, and driven team.
Sound like a fit? We’d love to hear from you.
